Socks Making Workshop from the Toe in 4 Sessions

Nov 20th to Dec 11th, thursdays, 5pm to 8pm

In this workshop we will:

1) Start by making baby socks. This small-scale project will facilitate learning by quickly gaining an overview of the completed project.

2) In the following sessions, we will make larger socks, applying and deepening the knowledge acquired previously, with the additional option of, for example, varying the stitch. Points and Skills Covered:

• Judy's Magic Cast-on, a method that allows you to start socks from the toe without visible seams, resulting in a beautiful and comfortable finish for the foot. • Knitting in the round with 4 or 5 needles allows for seamless side stitching and a good fit. • Knit stitch, purl stitch, and others, according to the participants' choice. • Decreases and increases. • Wrap and Turn technique is a technique that allows for the creation of the heel and other shapes without unwanted holes. • Elastic waistband finish for a good fit without being too tight.

At the end of the 4 sessions, each participant will be able to make socks following instructions, developing autonomy in choosing yarns and sizes.
