Excel Classes

Duration: 3 classes, 3 hours each 

Beginner's Classes 

Throughout the 3-class course: 

We'll start with familiarization, then you'll learn basic concepts, creating and editing data, formatting cells, and using simple formulas and functions to perform calculations and organize information, including: • Workbooks, sheets, structure • Cells • Numeric and text content • Formatting – text, numeric, dates (1900 vs. 1904 system), others • Interaction between cells, between sheets, and between workbooks • Relative and absolute referencing • Database construction • Editing, searching, text management • Moving around the sheet – end, home, page up, and page down keys • Printing

Level 2 Excel 

Over the course of 3 lessons, you will: 

Deepen your knowledge of mathematical, logical, query, and text functions and formulas, and the use of dynamic tables and charts, including: • Functions/Menu Deepening • Function Concatenation • Dynamic Tables and Charts • Conditional Formatting • Data Protection • working with dates • validation lists • formula auditing • error investigation

A laptop with Excel installed is required (any version is acceptable). 

Available times: • Tuesdays 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM • Wednesdays 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM • Thursdays 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
